What you might do

Zero-Kap is not just one more of those fund raisers. We do not send letters to beg for money and nowhere we have a collecting box, nor do we have people running around with one. Consequently we do not need a very extensive secretariat to organize campaigns and we are not considering to change this policy any time near. We rather spend our energy in the support of our projects and the people running those in often very remote areas. We also enjoy bringing you in touch with the people within those projects.

Obviously we need support and we are happy with any contribution, whatever its modesty. To do our work, to administrate the loans, to support and advise the projects, to compensate losses on projects that fail financially, we need those contributions very much.

In the acquisition of funds we principally aim at larger contributions earmarked for specific projects. The idea is always that those contributions aimed initially at specific projects are paid back. After a deduction for running costs of our organization (2% a year) those funds are, taking account of an eventual preference of the original donor,  reinvested in new projects. In that sense we are a rotating fund that does essentially loose money year after year, yet at the same time does offer people in developing countries new opportunities.
